Baby Smile Festa 2014

On June 14, we had 772 participants in our Baby Smile Festa.

We spent a very happy day to connect people by smiling.

There were many people before the Festa opened.

In the beginning Picachu, which is an animation character and this event’s organizer, kayo made speeches. 

We prepared this event to let mothers know raising kids makes them enjoy though it is hard.

Companies and groups support raising kids in disaster areas

His song was very nice. He released a CD.

 

A lot of people helped this hopping booth. Especially Geroppa made it exciting by doing yoyo and balloon art. 

 

This clown got participants attracted and smile. 

 

Mothers, thank you for your cooperation.

 On that day air conditioner was broken so it was hot inside the community center.

 We got an exercise in the afternoon. We enjoyed it!

The General Meeting

本日、無事に総会を行うことができました。たくさんの方にサポートしていただいています。子育てしながら、活動できる、これは、みなさんのおかげのこと。感謝しながら、この地域で、命を守り、育て、つないでいく、子育て支援活動を広げていきたいとおもいます！ご賛同いただいている皆様、引き続きどうぞよろしくお願いいたします！当事者のママさんたちにもどんどん賛同してほしいです   地域を巻き込んだ子育ては、地域を育てます！子どもたちが、たくさんの人に見守られ、愛情を感じ、自分を愛し、人を愛し、命を大切につないでいってほしいと想う今日このごろです
Today we succeeded in our general meeting with support by a lot of people. We owe doing our activity while raising kids to you. We appreciate your support and keep our activity of protecting lives, raising kids and connecting people. Those for us, please support! We hope mothers are also for us. Raising kids by uniting the local area develops it! We want kids to be protected, receive love, love themselves, and highly value their lives and connect them to the next generation.

I played with Miyu. She is six months old and afraid of strangers. 
Her brother was drinking  juice which looks like real beer.

The Fourth Class for Newborn

Hello. 
I am Nakai, one of staffs. It is the rainy season so clothes cannot get dry. Is there any way to deal with them without a dryer?
By the way  we had the fourth class for the newborn. 
In the beginning, the instructor Honda told us that it is nice to have the same participants four times and to exchange email address, and today's class is for mothers. 

After we say fetus growing, the instructor told us that 30 to 50% of the newborn have the memory of the time of fetus. Others may have but do not tell.

This memory gets less vivid when a baby can speak. 

We heard a lot of stories.

Babies too.

We appreciate supporter's help.

We had new  blocs popular among babies.

They played with them well.

This day they played by eating blocs.

They ate and ate. 

Imitation is an important play. While they ate blocs, mothers talked seriously. 

Based on the message on the card the instructor brought, they talked about their feelings, problems and worries  frankly.

This was the nice opportunity to share.

I cannot introduce all of their words in terms  of their privacy. 
I will introduce one of them. From the beauty on the card, Ms Araki said mothers working hard are beautiful.

We ended the class with a lot of stories, presents, and company.

May 29th The Third Class (for Newborn)

Hello.
I am Saito from one of the staff.
In past few days, the weather suddenly began to feel like "summer!"
It has been said that this summer would be cold, yet it is already hot and I cannot help but think "Is it really true?!"
Let's not forget to hydrate ourselves and be aware of heat stroke.
When participating in a baby smile event, please make sure to bring the child's drink as well as his or her mother's drink.

Now, let's get onto the report.
This is our third class for newborn babies.
How fantastic! Everyone participated without any absence.

There was a bit of trouble in the game where the babies line up in the order of age in months. However, that was still fun in its own way.

Everyone listened well to nutritionist and public health nurse's stories while cradling her baby in her arms.

The conversation took a lively turn with comments such as "Oh!!" and "Yeah!!" as the public health nurse talked about earwax.
We should not take out babies' earwax with force but instead take them to otorhinologist regularly. 
The first time I went there, I was also surprised because they clean it out completely. 
We even feel refreshed.

Afterwards, it was free time.
A great number of people became acquaintances and I was able to see people enjoy talking with one another.


This is off topic but I recognized few members from our last class when I visited Bonbon cafe last time. 

I was able to observe such a connection so I was glad to be involved as a staff even if it meant doing little what I could. It was heartwarming. Thank you.

It would be great if people participating in this class also end their fourth class with some kind of "connection."

I myself am helped out a lot everyday by friends I have met through baby smile.

We are looking forward to our last fourth class!

Older brothers and sisters also worked hard!
